Friday was the girls' last day at their elementary school. Katie Rose's biggest concern was that she wouldn't get to say goodbye, so I arranged to bring in cookies for a little farewell. Ellie's classmates sent her off with hugs. Katie Rose got a poster filled with individual cards from each of her classmates. We'll be hanging it on their bedroom wall for awhile.
Saturday was confirmation that the girls will not lead solitary lives with only each other and their parents for company. They played with three neighbor kids from 10:00 a.m. to almost 7:00 p.m. Today, we'll be in church - where they attend kids' church with 100+ other kids - and then they'll play with cousins for the afternoon.
Tomorrow is the big Day 1. We've had a couple of practice days, but this is the start of the Real Thing. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!
