Scripture Memorization
Week 1 – Each day, begin by reading the Scripture out loud together three times.
M – Write it on an index card. Discuss what it means. (Keep the index card handy!)
Tu – Copy the Scripture for your Scripture Memorization Notebook. User your best handwriting! Penmanship Assignment
W – Color the Scripture worksheet (will be provided.) Include in Scripture Memorization Notebook.
Th – Draw a picture representing the Scripture. What does it mean? What does it make you think of? Include in your Scripture Memorization Notebook.
F - Recite all of the Scriptures memorized thus far.
Week 2 - Each day, begin by reading the Scripture out loud together three times.
M - Discuss: Who wrote this Scripture? Who was it written to or why was it written? Write the answers in your Scripture Memorization Notebook
Tu – Write the Scripture out twice on lined notebook paper. Neat handwriting, please!
(Optional - If there is a craft idea for the Scripture, it can be substituted on this day.)
W – Recite the Scripture while doing jumping jacks.
Th – Recite the Scripture while running. (How much of it can you say without making a mistake?)
F - Recite all of the Scriptures memorized thus far.
There may be additional weeks, depending upon the Scripture. John 3:16 would get 2 weeks. Psalm 23 would get more time.
