Phonics - Ordinary Parent's Guide to Teaching Reading, then First Language Lessons
Science - Apologia's Exploring Creation with Astronomy
Bible - Dad's unit studies
Music - Mom has devised a year-long Hymns study (to be supplemented with basic music theory - and, hopefully, guitar lessons)
Physical Ed - combination of online, video, book, and community resources
And, of course, lots and lots of reading.
Before we launch full-tilt into our chosen History and Science courses, we're going to do some unit studies I have devised. Before we start history, we'll be delving into geography, learning about the continents and oceans. For science, we're going to revisit the senses and then run through the body systems.
My trepidation has been replaced with impatience. I can't wait to really get started!
